Catoosa Co. Sheriff's Office warns of Bitcoin scam

A Bitcoin scam is circulating around Catoosa County, the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office says.

A person calls claiming the victim's bank account, cell phone, or email account has been hacked and used for some type of illegal activity.

The scammer then says they will fix your accounts, but only with payment through Bitcoin.

To avoid falling victim to this scam, contact law enforcement immediately.
